Japan’s Foundry Tech + Expo to make debut in September 2026

6 Oct 2025

Organised by the Japan Foundry Society, Inc. and Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, the inaugural edition of Foundry Tech and Expo is scheduled to be launched from 9 – 11 September 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight South Hall 4. The exhibition aims to contribute to the further development and sustainability of the country’s metal casting industry, driving new opportunities for a sector that provides critical components across numerous industries including automotive, aerospace, construction, and energy. Bringing a diverse range of metal casting technologies, equipment, materials, solutions and related products under one roof, the exhibition provides the potential for new manufacturing approaches that cover three key elements: environmental consideration, economic value, and technical excellence.

With the new show to be held concurrently with the ninth edition of Thermotec 2026, Japan’s largest and only exhibition in the field of industrial furnaces and related technology, this collaboration will gather the latest technologies and products relevant to comprehensive manufacturing that includes the foundry industry. Foundry Tech + Expo 2026 expects to attract 80 exhibitors to display diverse products and services with a wide range of applications. Providing invaluable opportunities to learn about cutting edge solutions and to expand industry networks, the fair will give the chance to both exhibitors and visitors to deepen their knowledge and make new connections that further develop their businesses.

Discussing the upcoming fair, one of the organisers, Mr Shinji Fujiwara, Chairman of the Japan Foundry Society, Inc., stated: “At this exhibition, alongside booth displays by individual companies and organisations, we will present the latest technologies and research findings to the entire industry through seminars including keynote speeches. Furthermore, aiming to foster the next generation of talent and promote industry-academia collaboration, we will strive to create an opportunity for more people to discover the appeal of the foundry industry.”
